A superb quality upholstered armchair by Holland & Sons, raised on a Mahogany turned leg with the finest quality original brass lacquered castors.
Holland & Sons was recorded in the Lord Chamberlain’s accounts 1846-65 working at Osborne House, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Sandringham and Balmoral.
The chair in wonderful condition throughout, retaining the original horse-hair with sprung seat and buttoned back.
This chair has been renovated and reupholstered at some point with blue velvet and modern covering on the bottom.
The springs and webbing are all in very good condition and the frame is solid with no movement or woodworm.
